The Colourless

Both the most prominent and diverse species in all of the Oververse. Colourless make up nearly 85% of the population census. No one Colourless looks like any one other, even if they are familial. They earn their name from the lack of color on their skin. They stand out against the typical blackness of the Oververse like a sore thumb throbbing on your hand. Often said to be viewable from only one angle, most refer to them as Billboards. This term is highly offensive to Colourless.

Colourless are in every region of the Oververse doing just about any and every job. Need an Expeditioneer? Good chance they’re a Colourless. Need a Strider to guide you through a dangerous Singularity? Bet they’re colorless underneath that helmet. They are skilled craftsmen and labourers.

Despite making up most of the population, Colourless are far from the majority. While some have organized under the faction The Union, other’s opt for an independent lifestyle. These independents are the most common of Colourless, though Union Contractors have started to trickle out into the void. This has caused some tensions as Independents claim The Union is overstepping their boundaries and stealing jobs from their own kind.

The Union operates out of Union Station. A massive superstructure of interconnected flotillas within the Etheridge Valley region. Independents typically stay out of the region unless they are going to the station to settle down, for business or because they need help. Built into the Union Charter is Amendment VV, No Colourless is to be turned away when seeking aid from The Union. This amendment is up for debate as the current Pathfinder struggles to maintain his position during this current election cycle. More on The Union at a later date.

Colourless are diverse, I cannot stress that enough. One may look like a horrifying body horror monster from the mind of Geiger, others may look fairies or fey. Often they are a mashup of several different parts. Part dog, part squid. Part monkey, part spider. Others are so deformed and incapable of work that they solely rely on The Union.

Their Multiverse was once beautiful with vibrant colors. They themselves once lived under the mechanical process of evolution, slowly evolving into species with specific traits. Most were humanoid but with some variations such as green skin and protruding tusks or thick, coarse hair from head to toe with sharpened horns atop their heads. However, the God in charge of the Multiverse one day went mad. He drained the Multiverse of its color and began to reshape the mortals of his realm.

During this time, Benny was cast out. He found himself palling around with Mike, Pogo and Vi who eventually made contact with the Vessel known as Ka. With their help, Ka and the rest of the group slaughtered the Mad God and collapsed their Multiverse. It was then that the Colourless, shortly after the Second Shattering, poured into the Oververse.
