The Oververse

The Oververse is a Universe that contains the Multiverse. The idea spawned from long nights staring at the stars and wondering where in the hell this continuously expansive Universe was expanding into. I believe in the idea of As Above So Below. Not in the traditional sense, but more like we are all fractals of the Universe. Inside of us we have our own Multiverses that are shaped based on observations, theology and ideology. Sprinkle in a little mental illness here and there and you get some pretty diverse inner worlds.

Think of the Multiverse like this: Groupings of pinpoint lights (similar to stars within a Galaxy) bound together by a membrane. This membrane (at least in my inner world) is called the For’eth Balla or the Fourth Wall. This is how you distinguish one Oververse from another. Each pinpoint of light is called a Singularity. These Singularities can be anything. A person, place, time, event or memory. Each Singularity holds billions and billions of Multiverses. Both that exists and can still become possible.

Disclaimer: I’m an artist, philosopher and pseudo theologist. I am not an astrophysicist, mathematician nor am I particularly smart. This is a concept and not necessarily meant to be take seriously. I’m a creative writer and none of these concepts should get twisted like fuckhead L. Ron Hubbard.

The Oververse is a vacuum much like outer space. Specifically though it exists in Oblivion. Oblivion is the true nothing. Outer space is something and is filled with things. While Oblivion may hold Oververses, it does not produce things like stars, matter, gas or dust. There are no celestial bodies, just Oververses contained by the For’eth Balla and the Singularities within.

In my Oververse I like to imagine this idea of “shattering”. These are major cosmological events that completely changes the cosmology of an Oververse. My Oververse has experienced 3. The first is related to my abuse and the persona I crafted to survive that. The second happened after the death of that persona and now the third is happening right here right now. No spoilers as it is important for future projects but lets just say it happened around the time I decide it was time to come out of the closet. When these Shatters happen they can cause the Collapse of a Singularity. This means that that entire Multiverse is essentially “deleted”.

However this doesn’t always result in the extermination of all life within that Singularity. Since it is such a violent and chaotic event (causing the Singularity to coalesce into one point) many often find themselves drifting in the Oververse.

Wait, you said it was a vacuum? Aye, and most will die during that drift. However, many have survived by pure chance. Typically thanks to them being in an airtight container of some sort (or space ship if they were spacefaring). Eventually societies start to form and massive structures like space stations are built with scraps spit out during a Collapse. Some societies even exasperate Collapses so they can get the resources from that Multiverse.

Within these few are “Avatars”. I’ll make this one easy, they’re literally the characters we inhabit when we are reading a book, watching a movie or playing a game. Essentially a “protagonist”. This will be you when the Magnum Opus is running. An Avatar venturing across the Oververse, interacting with societies, Singularities, Gods and so much more. I’ll be posting some more lore stuff and notes about this Multiverse, including the Eldritch Star, prominent figures such as Wyn and Mr. Minor and the societies that operate within my head, all vying for control over their own futures.

I am the Oververse. You are the Oververse and we all have Eyes.
